Nike Air Max 1 Safari Now Online

1987 was a very good year.

Legendary Nike designer Tinker Hatfield designed two bangers that would revolutionise the sneaker game forever.

The Air Max 1 in its classic red and blue came equipped with the very first visible airbag. Once people could see the tech they couldn't help but get a pair just to feel the cush. Arguably, this is the shoe that turned jogging into running.

That very same year Nike dropped a bomb called the Air Safari, a wild looking little monster that sported a crazy print, combined with an eye-popping, black and orange colour-up. These wild bunnies not only performed, they drove people bananas and everyone copped a pair thinking they were Dr Livingston adeptly navigating the deepest, darkest jungle.

Direct your peepers at these crazies, recreated in all their glory for you in 2009 and available to buy online and instore from Footasylum.
