Adidas Brand Pack at Footasylum

To celebrate their 60th anniversary, Adidas have created a number of limited edition projects involving five of their most iconic styles. With an August release date, the new Five-Two-3 ‘brand pack’ is one of the most eagerly anticipated and features collaborations with five brands from around the world. These include a Nizza x Porter, Superstar x X-Large, Stan Smith x Maharishi, Samba x Stone Island and a Forum x Nom de Guerre. Coming soon to Footasylum, keep checking the site to make sure you don't miss out.

Adidas Superstar x X-Large

Japanese brand X-Large have chosen to work with the Superstar. Synonymous with artists such as the Beastie Boys in the 90s, X-Large helped define streetwear as we know it.

They have used a vivid multi-coloured fade on a snakeskin effect leather upper, with black suede 3-stripes and the reworked X-Large Trefoil logo on the heel tab. The suede tongue features both Adidas and XL branding. The colab is completed with six sets of coloured laces emblazoned with the slogan, “Getting no respect since ‘91”.

Adidas Stan Smith x Maharishi

Maharishi, born in 1994 is now one of the UKs most influential brands. Maharishi chose to put their own stamp on the iconic Stan Smith tennis shoe.

In line with their strong military influences, the upper of this Stan Smith is finished in a blue chambray fabric inspired by WWII naval shirting. The Maharishi logo features on the tongue and heel whilst metal eyelets form the famous three stripes. A ‘Mahadidas’ sockliner completes this truly unique shoe.

Adidas Nizza x Porter

Japan’s Porter brand is renowned for great luggage. Their orange-lined Tanker series has been part of their collection since 1983 and this the inspiration for their simple yet striking recreation of the Nizza.

With a black padded nylon upper and orange lining, Porter’s take on the Nizza features subtle branding and a silver zip detail down the heel of the shoe. The finishing touch is supplied through the Head Porter Tanker Tote Bag that each pair comes perfectly packaged in!

Samba x Stone Island

Italian innovators Stone Island have taken an unorthodox approach to their restyling of the terrace classic that is the Samba.

The upper is comprised of their Raso Gommato fabric, dyed and treated with a colour corrosion, leaving the 3-Stripes branding to do all the talking. As with their clothing, the left hand side carries their famous compass logo whilst the inner tongue carries both Adidas and Stone Island branding. Finished with an asymmetric zip fastening, this is a stunning new look for the Samba silhouette.

Forum x Nom De Guerre

New York brand, Nom De Guerre have chosen the Forum basketball shoe.

A composition of hardwearing canvas and leather, the reworked Forum is based on the early combat boots used by the US Army. In military grey-green, the white ankle strap (referencing war hospital ankle bandaging) contrasts perfectly and the versatile shoe is finished with the Nom De Guerre logo subtly embossed across the front.
