Position: Assistant Manager (Hanley)

Responsibilities/Requirements:
1. Manage and motivate staff, recruit staff, train and develop staff, according to company polices and employment laws, and ensure relevant HR procedures are followed (appraisals, discipline, grievence etc).
2. Plan, forecast, report on sales, costs and business performance, according to company requirements.
3. Manage cash and payment systems
4. Plan and implement shop merchandising, layout and customer traffic flow so as to maximise sales.
5. Manage selling and customer service activities and staff competence in these areas.
6. Manage costs and all overheads.
7. Maintain awareness of market trends in the retail industry.
8. Manage upkeep and condition of all equipment.
9. Manage health and safety, security, and emergency systems.
10. Manage and maintain effectiveness of IT and other essential in-store systems.
11. Attend meetings and contribute to company strategy and policy-making as required.
12. Develop personal skills and capability through on-going training.

Position: Customer Services Assistant (Head Office)

Job purpose:
To provide the highest standard of customer service to Footasylum store staff and FootAsylum customers

Duties/Responsibilities:
To consistently provide high standards of customer service via telephone and email
· dealing with both inbound and outbound calls and emails
· handling complaints
· processing of returned orders, exchanges and refunds
· managing outstanding orders efficiently (out of stock/partial orders)
· liaising with other departments in the company where necessary
· taking telephone orders and processing payments
· general administrative duties

Experience/Skills:
The ideal candidate will be customer focussed, friendly and have a polite and confident telephone manner
· Ability to communicate effectively at all time and to stay calm under pressure
· A good listener with the ability to resolve customer queries efficiently
· A team player with a good customer focussed attitude
· Excellent command of English language
· Excellent written skills
· PC literate
· Ability to constantly deliver high standards of quality

Some experience in a customer services environment would be advantageous

Qualifications:
· English and Maths to GCSE level or equivalent (Essential)
· Customer Service qualifications (Desirable)
